			Westerinch Karate Club Learn Traditional Shotokan Karate Westerinch Karate Club has been in operation since the 2006 teaching traditional Shotokan Karate classes around West Lothian. Our instructors have karate qualifications awarded by bonafidee karate instructors. Classes in a Safe Environment We have classes suitable for adults and Children at Simpsons Primary School in Bathgate Our sister club Livingston Karate Club has classes at Craigswood Sports Centre. The regular class is open to adults and children from 8 years old. For younger children we have our Dragon Ninjas classes, these are suitable for 5 to 7 year olds, giving them a great introduction to karate. Family Friendly Organisation We are a family friendly organisation, which is reflected in our pricing structure and membership. Our pedigree is important to us, we have Club Accredition with West Lothian Council and have been registered with them for ten years. In addition to being members of West Lothian Sports Council. As many of our members are children we hold current up to date registration as a Youth Group (registration number 70) and hold Club Accrediation with Active Schools. Our instructors and assistants are all over 18 years old, fully insured and have undergone PVG checks with Disclosure Scotland and Volunteer Scotland to ensure the safety of the junior members. Since 2005 the club has been run by Grahame Brown, 4th Dan. All instructors teach on a voluntary basis and the fees collected are used to cover hall expenses, equipment, club social events and courses with professional trainers.
